At the end of 2022, the Austrian government has decided to extend the energy costs subsidy 1 (EKZ 1) for energy-intensive companies until the end of 2022 and also prolong it to 2023 - this regulation from 1 January 2023 is called energy costs subsidy 2 (EKZ 2).
